Featuring Mr. Tim Ying, Chief Executive Officer, and the talk will cover his journey from banking to tech start-up to product leadership and the latest transformation of Octopus.
Ms. Connie Chan, Director, Human Resources & Administration, will share more on the company culture in Octopus and details of Management Trainee Programme 2024.

A seasoned product and people leader, Tim is passionate about delivering best-in-class user experiences to Octopus’s more than 7 millions customers and clients, from transit operators to merchants, across four continents.
Prior to Octopus, Tim had extensive experience building companies and teams for corporations and start-up. Most recently, he was General Manager of Digital Experience at Cathay Pacific Airways where he led digital experiences across the flight, cargo, and lifestyle business sectors, including Asia Miles. Tim held various management positions at HSBC, with his last position there as Chief Product Officer of PayMe. Tim has also co-founded and exited one of the first central bank-licensed digital assets exchanges in Southeast Asia.

Connie brings a wealth of expertise in driving transformative HR strategies and enhancing organizational performance. Her primary focus in Octopus is to optimize the human capital of the organization, driving and uplifting the company culture to achieve business goals, ensuring the right talents are in place to drive innovation, productivity and company success.
Before joining Octopus, Connie was the Head of Human Resources in Yahoo leading change management, organizational design, mergers and acquisitions in Asia Pacific. Prior to Yahoo, she held various management positions in the Sun Life Financial, SAS Institute Inc and Cisco Systems Inc. Connie is passionate in building strong employer branding for organizations. She is a well-respected speaker in the HR industry and judges for numerous industry awards.
