Dr. Jessie Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Science in Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM), Shanghai Jiao Tong Univ.  Chen got her Ph.D from Kyushu Univ., Japan. As a visiting scholar, she visited Stanford Univ. and MIT during Dec. 2008 -Aug. 2009.

Her research interests include Complex System, System Optimization and Supply Chain Management. Dr. Chen participated several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As a faculty advisor, she advised several consulting projects for Cisco, Dell, Honeywell and etc. Dr. Chen is a member of AI+ industry research team.   

Dr. Chen teaches MBA and undergraduate student courses, as Data, models and decisions, Operations management, Operations strategy, System optimization, Operations research and Enterprise diagnosis. Dr. Chen won the Best Teacher’s Award in 2006 when it was the first year SJTU set up the award. In 2021, she was selected to be one of the best teachers most welcome by MBA students in ACEM. In 2013, the CLGO program which she works for as the Program Director won the first prize of Excellent Teaching Achievement, which was awarded by the Shanghai Municipal Government. In 2018, She won the Excellent Teaching Achievement Award （first prize）by Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education.

In 2016, the case “Shanghai TOEX Trading Co. : the Going Global Challenge” developed by Dr. Chen, is successfully accepted into IVEY Case Collection, by Ivey Publishing, Richard Ivey School of Business, Canada. In 2017, Dr. Chen participated the translation work of the book 《Essential Thinking for Product Development: Utilizing A3 Thinking and Lean Product Development in the Fuzzy Front End》.
