  • CHEN Xian, Executive Dean of Antai College of Economics & Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, full Professor, Doctoral Supervisor of Department of Economy. He achieved his Ph. D in Economics from Department of National Economy and Management, Renmin University in 1994. From 1999 to 2007, he was professor of College of International Business and Management, Shanghai University.  From 2001, he was Doctoral Supervisor of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. In 1996 and 2000, he stayed in The Chinese University of Hong Kong for short term research cooperation.
    In 2002, he won “The government special allowance of the state council”. He is Executive Director of Shanghai Social Sciences Association, Vice-chairman of Chinese Industrial Economic Association,Executive Director of Chinese Society of World Economy.

  • Research Field: Service Economics and Trade, Macroeconomics, Public Economics.
    He conducted researches on “Economic Theory and Development Strategy of China’s Modern Service Industry”, which is a key program sponsored by Philosophical and Social Sciences of MOE in 2006, key program of National Philosophy and Social Science Funds "the Study on New Path of Industrialization"(2009)", and “The Chinese Revelation of the Mechanism of Technological Innovation and the Development of modern industrial system”(2011), as well as more than 10 provincial and ministerial programs. From 2005 on, he publishes “Chinese Service Economy Report” annually, which is listed into the sponsored programs of Philosophical and Social Sciences of MOE. He is the chief editor of “Theories and Practices of International Trade”, which is one of the 10th and the 11th Five-Year Plan teaching materials and won Second-class Award of Excellent Teaching Material of National Ordinary Higher Institution. He co-composed “International Service Trade”, which is the one of the 11th Five-Year Plan teaching materials. Prof. CHEN has won awards from Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences, Decision Consultancy, and Teaching Contribution.
