Dean Chen Leads Delegation to Singapore and Vietnam to Deepen Exchanges and Cooperation 2026-04-04
From March 19 to 26, 2026, Chen Fangruo, Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), led a delegation to Singapore and Vietnam. Members of the delegation included Tian Xinmin, Special Advisor to the Dean, and relevant staff from the Office of Industry Research Institute. The trip focused on boosting academic partnerships, corporate ties, industry research and alumni networks.

In Singapore, the delegation visited ACEM’s Asia-Pacific Center and held in-depth talks with local alumni, who offered suggestions on curriculum design, talent cultivation and international cooperation. Dean Chen emphasized Singapore’s role as a key hub for ACEM’s internationalization, committing to integrate regional resources to better support students and alumni.


In Vietnam, the delegation met with leading institutions and enterprises, including private conglomerate Geleximco Group, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and alumni-owned Kingfa Science & Technology Vietnam.


Discussions with Geleximco focused on potential executive education cooperation, leveraging SJTU’s strengths in engineering, energy and AI. With HCMUT and HUST, the delegation agreed to advance student and faculty exchanges, as well as long-term cooperation in economics and management. At Kingfa, talks centered on challenges and opportunities for Chinese enterprises developing globally, including Vietnam’s high-tech policy support.


This visit has further consolidated ACEM’s strategic footprint in Southeast Asia, facilitating an in-depth understanding of the region’s educational and industrial ecosystems. The college will continue to advance multi-faceted cooperation with local stakeholders to promote high-quality talent development and support regional economic integration.
