Founded in 2014, the Center aims to actively promote academic exchanges and cooperation between Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and School of Economics at Singapore Management University (SMU) in the fields of econometrics, quantitative economics, and quantitative finance.

Through the platform of this Center, the two institutions have carried out all-round cooperation in academic research, talent cultivation, and international collaboration & exchanges. Since its establishment, the Center has also jointly organized annual four-university joint econometrics seminars with Princeton University and Queensland University of Technology, as well as a number of international conferences on econometrics with diverse themes.

Faculty members at Antai specializing in this field have actively conducted collaborative research with their counterparts from SMU, published numerous papers in top-tier journals in the area of econometrics, and exerted a certain level of influence in both domestic and international academic circles.
