The Sino-Japanese SPACE Workshop is part of the SPACE Workshop Series, designed to foster academic collaboration between researchers in China and Japan in the field of spatial economics, with a particular focus on political analysis. This inaugural workshop will be held in Toyonaka Campus of Osaka University on December 7–8, 2024, in collaboration with Osaka University and JSPS KAKENHI Grant JP20H01495.

SPACE stands for Spatial and Political Analysis of Contemporary Economy. Recognizing the growing body of research in spatial economics and the critical role of political analysis in today’s economy, the Workshop Series was initiated and is sponsored by SHINE.
