December 4, 2019, around 200 international students explored their career opportunities at the 8th Internship and Job Fair for International Students organized by the International Office of ACEM, SJTU.

Over 20 companies joined the fair, seeking exclusively international students for internships and full-time job positions. The participating companies for this edition of the fair looked even more diversified, covering fields of consulting, investment, IT, trade, education, hotel and resort business, sourcing, traveling, etc., including a load of well-known names like Huawei, Ctrip, GuotaiJunan Securities, Disneyland Shanghai, and Atheneum-partners as well as promising startups.

At the fair, international students educated in China were favored by both Chinese companies seeking global expansion and foreign ventures trying to localize themselves. Students were able to hand in CVs and communicate directly to the HR or departmental heads. Many of them got interviewed and conditional offers onsite.

About Internship and Job Fair for International Students

The idea of Internship and Job Fair for International Students came into being in 2016, in order to further carry out Shanghai’s talent strategy in retaining outstanding international students as well as to step up support in helping international students in Antai College to start their career in Shanghai. The number of international students in Antai College keeps roaring, so does that of international students seeking job opportunities in the city. The college now has two programs fully delivered in English: Master of International Business and the International MBA Program, and over 80% of them are looking forward to local job opportunities according to a survey. After 3 years with 7 editions, the Internship and Job Fair for International Students has now become the highlight among all the career development services that Antai College is endeavoring to offer to international students, and has developed into one of the most sought-after events of its kind among local universities and international students' communities in Shanghai.
