On May 13th-15th 2019, AMBA (Association of MBAs) held 2019 International Conference in Istanbul, Turkey. Representing Antai College to the meeting were Dean Chen Fangruo and Director of International Office Wang Haihui.

At the certificate awarding ceremony, Dean Chen Fangruo received the re-accreditation certificate of Antai College with the validity of five years. This is the third time that we have achieved the AMBA accreditation certificate since the first award in 2008.

After submitting the AMBA re-accreditation self-assessment report, Antai College received the AMBA re-accreditation panel for a peer review visit on June 2018. The panel was composed of Prof. Bodo Schlegelmilch, Founding Dean at WU Executive Academy, Vienna, Prof. Andrew Lock, Dean Emeritus at Leeds University Business School, Leeds, UK, Prof. Zhongming Wang, Director of Global Entrepreneurship Research Centre, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, and Mr. George Iliev, Director of Development Markets, AMBA, London, UK. The panel had meetings and discussions with leaders of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, leaders of Antai College, advisory committee members, employers, students, and alumni during the two-day visit. The peer review panel reached an agreement on positive feedbacks after gaining a thorough understanding of the college strategy, program designing ideas, faculty, curriculum, student admission, and program management, as well as other supporting materials displayed in the baseroom. The panel concluded that Antai College has constantly improved and maintained a high standard of MBA education and management level.

As the first business school in China to receive all the top three international accreditation, participating in international accreditation is an important step to implement the internationalization strategy of Antai College. We have gradually enhanced MBA and EMBA programs through a series of new measures. International accreditation has not only brought more recourses and opportunities for experience exchanging but also promoted the internationalization and quality improvement of our education. The successful renewal of the AMBA accreditation proves that Antai College has achieved considerable progress over recent years, and that our MBA provision has made the right decision to insist on international and innovative strategy.

At the conference, Dean Chen Fangruo delivered a speech on “Industry Research and Transformation of Business School” as a guest speaker and gained a warm response from the participants.
