Sally BLOUNT

Sally Blount was named dean of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2010. An internationally recognized expert in the fields of negotiation and behavioral decision making, Dean Blount has more than 20 years of experience in higher education.

During her tenure at Kellogg, Dean Blount has restructured the school’s administrative operations; set fundraising records; launched the dynamic “Think Bravely” advertising campaign; and worked to map a bold, new strategy for the school.

Prior to Kellogg, Dean Blount served New York University’s Stern School of Business as the dean of the undergraduate college and vice dean of the school.. From 1992 to 2001 she was on the faculty of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.

Dean Blount received her Ph.D. in management and organizations from Kellogg in 1992 and earned a joint bachelor’s degree from Princeton University’s engineering and Woodrow Wilson schools in 1983.

     
 

Pascal Morand

Pascal Morand, Honorary Dean of ESCP Europe, holds a Doctorate in Economics and is a graduate of HEC Paris (“Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales”).

He was Dean of ESCP Europe from 2006 to 2012 and Director General of IFM (Institut Français de la Mode) from 1987 to 2006.

He was also charged with several missions by Christine Lagarde, Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment dealing with globalization (2007), innovation (2008) and accounting standards (2009). Pascal Morand also undertook numerous projects on international economics, textile strategy, fashion, design, and creation for French governmental bodies, the European Commission and European firms.

     
 

Arnoud DE MEYER

Professor De Meyer is the fourth President of Singapore Management University. Previously, he was Director of Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge where he was Professor of Management Studies and Fellow of Jesus College. He was associated for 23 years with INSEAD where he held various senior academic and administrative positions, including founding Dean of INSEAD’s Asia Campus in Singapore. Professor De Meyer has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, MBA and PhD in Management from the University of Ghent in Belgium. He also pursued his studies as a visiting scholar at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA).

His research interests are in manufacturing and technology strategy; the implementation of new manufacturing technologies; the management of R&D; how innovation can be managed more effectively; project management under conditions of high uncertainty; management and innovation in Asia; the globalisation of Asian firms; the management of novel projects; and e-readiness in Europe.

Professor De Meyer has been consultant to a number of companies throughout Europe and Asia. Currently, he is an external director of Dassault Systèmes SA (France), as well as a board member of the National Research Foundation, Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and Temasek Management Services.

     
 

John A. Quelch

John A. Quelch is Distinguished Professor of International Management, Vice President and Dean at CEIBS. Previously, he was Senior Associate Dean and Lincoln Filene Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. Between 1998 and 2001 he was Dean of London Business School.

Professor Quelch’s research focus is on global marketing and branding in emerging as well as developed markets. Professor Quelch is the author, co-author or editor of twenty-five books, and has published seventeen articles on marketing strategy issues in Harvard Business Review, and many more in leading practioner and academic journals including McKinsey Quarterly, Sloan Management Review, Marketing Science and Journal of Public Policy and Marketing..

Professor Quelch is well-known for his teaching materials and innovations in pedagogy. Over the past twenty years, his case studies have sold over 3.4 million copies, third highest in HBS history.

Professor Quelch has served as an independent director of twelve publicly listed companies in the USA and UK. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s 2011 Birthday Honours.

He was born in London, England, was educated at Exeter College, Oxford University (BA and MA), the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (MBA), the Harvard School of Public Health (SM) and the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration (DBA).

     
 

QIAN Yingyi

Yingyi Qian is Dean of School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University.
Professor Qian has been a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley since 2001 and the Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University since October 2006. Before joining the Berkeley faculty, he taught in the Department of Economics at Stanford University between 1990 and 1999 and in the Department of Economics at the University of Maryland between 1999 and 2001.

His main research areas include comparative economics, institutional economics, economics of transition, and the Chinese economy. He has published in top international economics journals such as American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and Review of Economic Studies. He is co-editor of the Economics of Transition and on the boards of editors of China Economic Review and China Journal of Economics.

He is President of the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS) and serves on the Board of Directors of Association of Advancing Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Board of Dean’s Advisors at Harvard Business School, and the External Advisory Board at KAIST Business School of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He is also an independent director of China Netcom Group Corporation (Hong Kong) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vtion Wireless Technology AG.

Emerson de Almeida has been the Dean of Fundacao Dom Cabral since its creation in 1976. He has a Bachelor's in Economics from the College of Economic Sciences - Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. He also has a "Maitrise" from the University of Paris - Institut Francais de Presse - (1972).
Dean Almeida has guided the negotiations to implement the alliances with INSEAD (France), Kellogg (USA) and UBC (Canada). He is currently guiding the implementation of a network corporation among business schools in Latin America and BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China). He is a member of the International Advisory Council of Guanghua Business School (Peking University), a member of the International Insead Council (France) and of the Plenary Assembly of Gazeta Mercantil's Entrepreneurial Leaders Forum. In 2009, he guided the implementation of the FDC International Advisory Council,
He is the author of the book "Fundamentos da Empresa Relevante - Meu aprendizado na FDC", Campus Press, 2006 - ("Fundaments of the Relevant Company - Learning I Acquired at FDC") and has many articles written.
     
 

Denis Garcia ROCHA

Denis GARCIA has been working as a project manager for Fundação Dom Cabral since 2008. He has a Bachelor's in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2005), a Specialization Degree in Civil and Commercial Law from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2007) and a MBA from FDC (2012).

Currently, he is working both with the International Relations Office, assisting the President of the Board Committee, Emerson de Almeida, and the Dean, Wagner Veloso, in constructing and maintaining relationships with schools, companies and organizations from another countries; and with Open Enrolment Programs, especially in the management of international programs.

He is also the former President of the Young Executives Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM-MG) and former Regional Director of the Brazil-Australia Chamber of Commerce, both in the Minas Gerais State, in Brazil.

Prof. Leonid Evenko is Rector of the Graduate School of International Business at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Moscow, Russia; PhD in Managerial Economics (1968), and Full Professor of Management (since 1981), specializing in Management and Strategic Management; author of 200 academic publications; management consultant for the leading Russian companies: Russki Alumini; MIG Aviation; AFK Systema; and RAO ES a.o. Prof. Evenko is an EQUAL Board Member and Head of the Editorial Board of the Russian Business Education Journal. He was a founder of Russian Association of Business Education (1990), its President (1996 – 2010), and he has been its Honorary President since 2010.

     
 

Raj S. DHANKAR

Dr Raj S. Dhankar has held responsible administrative positions like Vice-Chancellor, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana; Director, Centre for Canadian Studies; Professor-in-charge, Faculty of Management Studies, South Campus; Principal, Maharaja Agrasen College; and Chairman, Finance Area, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi in the past.

Dr Dhankar has taught in various foreign universities including University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and University of Southern California (USC), USA. He has completed several major research projects with financial assistance from national & international agencies. Seven candidates have completed Ph.D. under his supervision and a few are presently pursuing their Ph.D. work. Dr Dhankar is on the Governing Bodies/ Councils of various educational institutions, and Director &Trustee on the Boards of several public and private sector organizations. He is a member of various committees in the Central and State Governments. He has done research work with colleagues from US.A., U.K., Canada, Japan and Taiwan. He has been honoured with several awards including Haryana Ratan in recognition of his contribution to the welfare of the society and institution building.

     
 

WU Xiaobo

Professor Xiaobo WU is Qiushi Chair Professor of Strategy and Innovation Management, Dean of School of Management, Director of National Institute for Innovation Management, and Director of Global Zhejiang Entrepreneur Research Center, at Zhejiang University.

He was a visiting scholar, at Institute for Manufacturing and Judge Institute of Management Studies, Cambridge University, UK, 1996-1997; and a Fulbright Visiting Scholar, Sloan School of Management, MIT, USA, 2000 -2001. From 1982 to 1986, he used to work for government agencies and industrial organizations as an assistant engineer. His research interests include Managing Technological Innovation and Inclusive Innovation, Global Manufacturing and Network-based Competitive Strategy. As principal investigator, he led more than ten national agents sponsored and internationally joint sponsored research projects. He has published more than one hundred academic papers and seven books in the related research areas. He serves as board member and strategic advisor for several known companies too.

He is also the member of China Scholarship Council under the State Council, and the member of the Steering Committee for Management Science and Engineering Management, Ministry of Education, China, and the found member of Institute for Manufacturing, Cambridge University, UK.

     
 

Nick Binedell

Nick Binedell is the Dean of the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) which opened its doors in January 2000.

GIBS has established itself as a significant business school in South Africa with a strong focus on partnering with leading South African corporates and providing a high level of local and international business education.

GIBS offers an extensive MBA programme (both full time and part time) and a wide range of executive and customized corporate programmes. It has been ranked by the London Financial Times in the Top 50 providers of global executive education for the past 7 years.

Nick’s academic qualifications include a PhD from the University of Washington in Seattle, an MBA from the University of Cape Town. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

His area of expertise is in the field of business strategy and strategic leadership and his academic and consulting work, although dominantly in South Africa, includes work in the United States, Europe and Australia.

Professor Japhet Law is former Dean at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has led the Chinese University as the first school in the Asia Pacific Region to go through the AACSB accreditation process back in the late 90's, and has since been very much involved with international accreditation activities.

He has served in various capacities with the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC), including as member of the governing Board. He is currently Senior Advisor to GMAC, Senior Advisor to the President of Beta Gamma Sigma- the Honorary Society for Business Schools, member of the EFMD Asia Pacific Advisory Board, and a member of the AACSB Accreditation Qaulity Committee.

Professor Law has also served as the mentor and/or on accreditation team for numerous business schools in the Asia Pacific Region.

Robert Reid serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer for AACSB International. Prior to joining AACSB International in July 2012, he served as Dean of the College of Business at James Madison University for 15 years. The College of Business has been recognized for excellence in curriculum innovation, especially in the areas of curriculum integration and experiential learning. In 2012, while on leave as dean, Bob served as the founding Executive Director of the Interpersonal Effectiveness Institute at James Madison University. Prior to becoming dean, he served as the Department Head of Marketing and Hospitality Management. While in this role, he was selected as the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Professor. Bob has conducted numerous professional workshops and seminars for both public and private organizations, including numerous universities. He has authored or co-authored five editions of Hospitality Marketing Management published by John Wiley & Sons, and was a contributing author to three other books. He has actively served as a leader for numerous professional and civic groups including, AACSB International, Beta Gamma Sigma, The Southern Business Administration Association and the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management.

Eileen Peacock is senior vice president of Asia at AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. As vice president, Dr. Peacock leads AACSB’s Asia initiatives, and is located in Singapore. Her efforts guide the organization’s membership and accreditation services within the region. In support of AACSB’s mission to advance quality management education worldwide, Peacock is responsible for developing effective relationships with Asian management education associations, colleges and institutions.

Prior to coming to AACSB International, Peacock was dean and professor of accountancy for the Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth (2004-2008. Dr. Peacock obtained her Bachelor of Technology from Loughborough University, England, and a Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham, England. In addition, she obtained a Master of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma, and maintains her CPA and CMA certification. Dr. Peacock’s research has been published in a wide variety of publications, including The Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, The British Accounting Review, Review of Business Information Systems, Internal Auditing, Journal of Cost Management, Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, and Database.

     
 

Christian Delporte

Christian Delporte is currently working as an Associate Director of the Quality Services Department at EFMD. Before joining EFMD, Christian Delporte was Rector of FUCAM (Facultés Universitaires Catholiques de Mons) and Dean of the Louvain School of Management of UCL (Université Catholique de Louvain).

He was professor of Operations Management at Louvain School of Management and visiting professor in the USA, France, Poland, Russia, Latvia and the Mauritius Islands.

He has been member of several Business School Boards and is a former member of the EFMD Board of Trustees. He looks back on more than 20 EQUIS/EPAS peer review visits.

He holds a Business Engineering degree and a graduate degree in Actuarial Sciences from UCL, as well as an MBA and a PhD in Operations Management from Cornell University.

George ILIEV is Accreditation Services Manager at the London-based Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the Triple Crown accrediting bodies in the world. George manages MBA programme accreditations in Britain, Europe, Russia and Asia and sits on the panels of deans and directors who conduct the MBA accreditation visits.

George ILIEV’s professional background before joining AMBA includes consulting work in media (CNN-Atlanta), public health (Bolivia) and energy (Bulgaria); macroeconomic and EU policy research for the Economic Policy Institute; and a stint of four years as Managing Editor of the China, Japan and Russia business news digests of Dow Jones Factiva. George was also a Lecturer in China Economy and Business at Sofia University.

George ILIEV completed his MBA degree at Emory University in Atlanta, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He also has an MSc degree on China from the London School of Economics and a BA in Chinese Studies from Sofia University. George has pursued specialisations at Anhui University and at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Professor Gregory Whitwell is Professor of Marketing and Deputy Dean, Programs and Students, in the Australian School of Business (ASB). He is responsible for strategically managing the ASB portfolio of business education programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and ensuring that ASB students receive an outstanding educational experience.

Prior to being appointed at UNSW in 2011, Professor Whitwell was Deputy Dean and Director (Graduate School of Business and Economics) in the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne, and Chair, Academic Senate, U21 Global. Before this, he held a variety of positions at the University of Melbourne, including acting Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching, Learning and Equity) in 2009, the inaugural Associate Dean (Academic Programs) in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, and the inaugural Associate Dean (International).
