CLGO 2017 Students Visited COMAC


The distinguished students of 2017 CLGO program, Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, visited China commercial aircraft co., LTD. (COMAC) on June 5, 2018, general assembling center Dachang campus. Dachang campus is one of the 2 assembling centers in China. It is mainly responsible for the final assembly of China's first new medium-short range turbofan ARJ21 regional passenger jet with independent intellectual property rights developed by China in accordance with international civil aviation regulation.

At first, the staff from COMAC gave students a comprehensive and detailed introduction about the development history of Dachang assembling center. Students were impressed by the brilliant achievements and future development strategy of COMAC.

After that, the staff showed students around the general assembling plant and visited the production site of ARJ21 to understand the general assembling process and their on-site management.


In the end, the students had a communication with management team and engineers about the production site management, supplier management, product quality management, project management and innovation management etc.

CLGO is focusing on developing a special type of leader for China – one who can apply both managerial and engineering expertise to global manufacturing and operations for sustained profitability and success. In order to improve the students’ understanding of advanced manufacturing management, CLGO program designs many visits to the enterprises with solid reputation worldwide. The monthly plant tour is one of the most important events in this series of company visiting tours.
