Orchestra Welcomes the New Year

The Antai Alumni New Year Concert took place on Saturday 23th December 2017, along with 2017 annual award ceremony of alumni and alumni organizations publishing. Hundreds of Antai students, staff and partners, alumni of bachelor, master, PhD, MBA, EMBA, EE programmes gathering at Wenzhi Tang, were treated to the concert that marked the beginning of a new year through music. The concert performed by Italian Milan Philharmonic Orchestra musicians partnered with erhu musician Gao Shaoqing, supported by Shanghai Lincomb Company and Shanghai Phicomm Company.

Hosted by MBA alumni and EE alumni, the concert began with Bella Ciao by Antai MBA Choir Group.

The Dean of Antai College of Economics & Management, Zhou Lin, spoke at the event. He expressed his warm welcome and reviewed the development of the college in the past year. ACEM tops the inaugural ranking of schools in the Asia-Pacific region in FT ranking. It performed best in executive education, snatching the first and second places in customised and open-enrolment programmes respectively, with Executive MBA coming in third.

'We are very proud of this recognition which reflected the comprehensive strength of the college. The top ranking is a result of the fast economic development of China, of the relentless dedication and effort of all the faculty and staff, and of the long-term support from stakeholders and partners home and abroad. ACEM will continue to strive for excellence and fulfil its vision of building a world-class business school.'

2017 Annual Award Ceremony was given to alumni and alumni organizations during the event. The selections of the awards were announced by Dean Zhou Lin and Deputy Dean Tian Xinmin, jointly thanked alumni for their achievements and contributions in 2017 for Antai’s development.

Under the baton of Italian conductor Massimo Malaspina, the orchestra offered a lively light-hearted programme that includes The Blue Danube, War Horses Galloping. The famous Italian young soprano Eva Corbetta and tenor Max Balban also gave a wonderful opera performance. The night concluded with Radetzky Marsch and Toast Song.
