Chaojun Yang is a professor and a doctorate advisor at the finance department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Antai College of Economics and Management. He is also the head of the SJTU Security Investment Research Institute. He received his bachelor of engineering, master of management, and PhD in management degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has been a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Management  since 1996, and was a visiting professor at UC Berkeley in 1999.

Professor Yang’s main field of research are the financial markets and security investment analysis.

In the field of financial securities investments, he has published more than 120 papers and 10 books,  among them are Financial Investment Styles and Strategy, Modern Corporate Finance, An In-Depth Overview of the Hong Kong Securities Market, Victory on Wall Street, Securities Investment Analysis, Modern Securities Finance: Pioneering Theories and Their Empirical Studies in China, and Securities Market Liquidity Theory and Its Empirical Research in China. He has undertaken and headed seven national level research projects, more than 10 provincial level research projects, and more than 30 consulting projects from various enterprises and institutions. He is currently heading a project for the National Natural Sciences Foundation of China.
